For our upcoming Life Sciences Task Force meeting, we will be joined by Dr. Gail Andrews, Health Attaché at the Embassy of South Africa to the United States, where she leads the coordination of public health collaborative programs towards reduction of burden of disease and strengthening of health systems.  Prior to joining the Embassy earlier this year, Dr. Andrews was Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health and COO of the National Department for Health. Dr. Andrews is an author who holds a PhD in public health and has extensive experience with the South African health system, having worked as both a frontline provider in the western Cape and as a senior manager in the National Department of Health.

This meeting is hosted in partnership with GIHE and the U.S.-South Africa Business Council.
