Event Description

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Africa Business Center is organizing an executive panel discussion featuring key stakeholders from the public and private sectors of both the U.S. and the African continent as part of the 2024 Powering Africa Summit. This discussion will focus on opportunities for sustainable energy solutions in powering the development of the Lobito Corridor, specifically around financing the region's energy transition to ensure a safe, stable, and environmentally conscious power supply.

About the Lobito Corridor:

The Lobito Corridor is part of the Trans Africa Corridor and connects Angola, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), eventually connecting to the Indian Ocean, via Tanzania. This project is the largest U.S. infrastructure investment into Africa and is anticipated to catalyze investment opportunities in core sectors such as transportation, agriculture, energy, and digital infrastructure.
