Protect Main Street Lending

Event Description

Join us virtually at 8:00am on Wednesday, January 17, for the U.S. Chamber's "Protect Main Street Lending" event to unravel the Basel III 'Endgame' impact on business.

Please note this event will no longer be held in-person!

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness (CCMC) will provide insights into the Basel III regulatory framework's final phase and its impact on financial institutions and broad swaths of the economy.

The Basel III Endgame proposals could lead to a considerable increase in capital requirements for large U.S. banks. These changes have adverse ripple effects, including potential disadvantages for low- to moderate-income mortgage borrowers, small businesses, and farmers.

  • Governor Michelle W. Bowman, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System

  • Congressman Andy Barr (R-KY-6), Chairman, House Financial Services Committee Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy
