Event Description
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Chamber Foundation, Allstate and Sacramento Metro Chamber invite you to join us for a Climate Resiliency Forum.
With weather-related catastrophes becoming more frequent and severe, it’s essential for communities to invest in resilience. A new study released in partnership with Allstate and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce found that every $1 spent on climate resilience and preparedness saves communities $13 in damages, cleanup costs, and economic impact.
Join us on December 3 to discuss how weather-related disasters affect the Sacramento community and the substantial economic benefits of investing in resilience. We’ll discuss tangible steps that businesses, government leaders, and communities can take to reduce the economic costs of future disasters - and create a more prosperous future for the Sacramento Region. We'll also share new research highlighting how greater investment in resilience not only reduces disaster costs, but also leads to economic growth and greater stability for people and businesses in the community.
