Wednesday, March 30, 2022

12:30 - 2:00 p.m. EST

Join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for a webinar on the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission (CSC)'s work and accomplishments on Wednesday, March 30 at 12:30 p.m. ET. Established in the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act, the Commission worked to develop strategic approaches to to defend the United States in cyberspace.

The National Defense Authorization Act of 2021 reauthorized the Commission and enacted 25 of its recommendations, including the installment of a National Cyber Director, the establishment of the Joint Cyber Planning Office within the Department of Homeland Security, and the creation of biannual national cyber exercises. The Commission disbanded in December 2021, having achieved many of its objectives to defend U.S. cyber interests, but leaving a great deal of work to be done.

This webinar will highlight the Commission's work, its impact on U.S. defense priorities, and the challenges that remain. Congressman James Langevin (D-RI), Commissioner, will provide remarks on the Commission's accomplishments; Mark Montgomery, former Executive Director of the Commission, will reflect on its work and the priorities of Cybersolarium.org; and J. Chris Inglis, National Cyber Director, will provide perspectives on the path forward.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to Catharine Carstens at ccarstens@uschamber.com with any registration questions.

We hope you can join us.
