The U.S. Chamber's U.S.-Syria Business Initiative is proud to convene a forum on the occasion of Syrian Minister H.E. Abdulsalam Haykal’s visit to the U.S. in February. “Digital Horizons in Silicon Valley: The Future of U.S.-Syria Tech Collaboration” will provide an opportunity for U.S. business leaders from multinational companies, SMEs, and start-ups to come together with Syrian and U.S. government officials to discuss the next steps in building Syria’s digital ecosystem.   • Engage directly with Syrian and U.S. government officials, including H.E. Minister Haykal and Deputy Assistant Secretary – Levant, Jacob McGee, along with representatives from the Syrian Ministry of Communications and IT and U.S. Departments of State and Treasury.
  • Gain practical insights into Syria's digital infrastructure needs and explore emerging commercial opportunities (ie SilkLink) to position your company where demand and government interest are highest.
  • Receive guidance on doing business in Syria, including navigating export controls and sanctions, understanding the regulatory environment and existing laws (ie IP, investment, tax, etc), and other insights on how to operate responsibly in the Syrian market.
