Virtual Briefing on the U.S.-Israel Strategic High-Level Dialogue on Technology (led by the National Security Council Staff) & Business Strategy Session

Event Description

The U.S.-Israel Business Council invites you to participate in our virtual members-only strategy session to receive an update on the U.S.-Israel Tech Dialogue and discuss our joint engagement strategy. This briefing will be attended by staff from the U.S. National Security Council, which is leading the Strategic High-Level Dialogue on Technology. In this strategy session, we look forward to your feedback and to strengthening the business community’s voice around the upcoming dialogue.

About the Dialogue

The dialogue will serve as a flexible, government-to-government dialogue to build a U.S.-Israel technological partnership on critical and emerging technologies and solutions to global challenges. Delegations from both sides will include senior officials from across the interagency.

It is still unclear which agencies and individuals will participate in the dialogue in addition to the national security advisors, but officials have told us that senior level officials from Israel’s Ministries of Health, Innovation, Science, and Technology, Finance, Israel Innovation Authority, and Departments of Energy, State, Health and Human Services (FDA), as well as other offices in the White House, to name a few, will participate.

This is intended to provide a “new framework” and “collaborative platform” to deepen our bilateral technology alliance, particularly in strategic and emerging technologies, as well as in areas that will accrue to the benefit of national security priorities and interests.

Both the White House and Prime Minister’s team have indicated that they would like to establish a public-private track as part of this new dialogue and work with the Chamber / U.S.-Israel Business Council to solicit ideas and input on obstacles and opportunities for the growth of our technology ecosystem.
