Unlocking Southeast Asia's Trillion Dollar Digital Opportunity:

A Policy Roadmap for Building an Inclusive, Sustainable, Open, Resilient, and Secure Digital Economy

Thuesday, January 24, 2023

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm EDT

U.S. Chamber of Commerce

1615 H Street, NW

Washington, DC 20062

The digital economy in Southeast Asia's six largest economies is on track to hit $1 trillion by the end of this decade, according to the latest e-Conomy SEA Annual Report by Google, Temasek and Bain. However, in order to reach this remarkable level, Southeast Asian governments must ensure a conducive environment that will allow digital economies to grow in a way that is inclusive, sustainable, open, and secure.

The January 24 discussion will include a presentation on Southeast Asia's trillion dollar digital opportunity, and a forward-looking discussion on how policymakers in the US and Southeast Asia could leverage IPEF, APEC, ASEAN, and other policy fora to ensure that the region's digital economy reaches its potential, and that U.S. companies can contribute to and participate in this growth.

We have invited Ambassadors and Embassy officials from the six countries covered in the report (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam), and have also invited senior officials from the Departments of State and Commerce to make remarks at the event.

Seating is limited and registration is required. If you would like to attend, please RSVP here by Monday, January 23.
