Please join us for our spring U.S.-South Africa Business Council (US-SABC) virtual board meeting. The purpose of this board meeting will be to introduce the board to the new Director of the Council, Kendra Gaither, Vice President, U.S.-Africa Business Center, as well as to introduce our new board chairs. Nyimpini Mabunda, Chief Executive Officer for GE Southern Africa, will take the role of Board Chair. Zweli Bashman, Managing Director for South Africa, Merck & Co., will take the role of Board Vice-Chair. We will also request input from board leaders as to where you’d like to see us engage in the U.S.-South Africa relationship this year – whether through meetings with high-level officials, policy advocacy, and/or Covid-19 economic recovery efforts. We will format the first half of the call as a listening session, with introductions and insights into the U.S.-South Africa relationship this year, especially from the lens of the new Biden administration, and the second half as an opportunity for input from the board.
