In March, the U.S. Chamber submitted a position paper to the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) on their recently released Technical Regulation for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS). This month the Chamber has also prepared input to SASO about challenges with the Saudi SABER System, a mandatory electronic certification and conformity assessment system for all imported goods entering Saudi Arabia.
During this workshop on June 9 with SASO, the Chamber will discuss issues with RoHS and SABER and industry recommendations on both.
