Please join us for a roundtable discussion regarding policy and practical next steps to engage diverse stakeholders concerning the definition of "Waters of the United States" on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 8:00am to 1:00pm ET. This meeting will be held in-person at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Headquarters in Washington, DC, but we will also provide a virtual option for those who are unable to join in person.

Key Discussion Topics:

• Timely and predictable permitting decisions that provide greater certainty for projects that can help alleviate supply chain constraints, and meet our nation’s ambitious climate, clean energy, and infrastructure objectives. These include projects to protect water quality, and build modern, resilient clean water infrastructure.
• A nationally standardized process for conducting and completing Jurisdictional Determinations across Corps Districts.
• Consistent and clear approaches for the specific water features that are included and not included (e.g., ephemeral features and ditches) under the WOTUS definition.
• Costs, impacts, and practical implications on stakeholders arising from the agencies’ proposed rule, including on small businesses.
• Federal, state, and local options to protect water quality.
• Regional differences and similarities, and specific challenges and priorities of various stakeholder groups.
